Artist Statement

The artworks I selected are paintings that reflect my perception as an individual and as a

woman in the world, through the environment that surrounds me. These are observations of

details of my routine in Australia (where I am privileged to be surrounded by nature), making

me see how I am part of this whole organism. This perception invalidates limiting beliefs and

taboos about the human body as well as encourages us to think collectively knowing that the

entire planet is connected, including ourselves.

The natural landscapes with organic forms, vibrant colours and natural harmony are

inspirations for my art, for female empowerment and the empowerment of the human

community idea. In nature, I can find identity and at the same time understand that all living

beings are interconnected.

In contact with the source of life I realize that my body is nature itself and see my place in the

world as part of something bigger than social norms and beliefs; in this way I can allow myself

to feel.
